The 2026 Contest
HumanWriMo is both an open challenge on the honor system and a contest with real prizes.
The HumanWriMo Challenge has only one rule: Write 50,000 words without the support of AI tools. The HumanWriMo Contest is more structured and awards cash prizes and services to winners.
To participate in the HumanWriMo Contest, contestants are required to use a writing tool that complies with the requirements of our partner, VerifiedHumanWritten.com. The Writing Platform Partner for 2026 is Charon.
Charon logs your writing activity to determine whether the content you submit was written by a human, assisted by AI, or generated by AI. It does not use your work to train AI or claim ownership of anything you write. Your work is your own.
Create an account on Charon and start writing today. Use the HumanWriMo link in the left navigation pane to submit your work for the contest when you are ready.
