HumanWriMo is an organization dedicated to exploring ways to promote and protect human writing. Its primary focus is the annual HumanWriMo November writing challenge. Future work includes encouraging reading and writing and working to protect and celebrate human creativity.

The November Challenge

NaNoWriMo was an annual event for writers that officially ended in 2025. This year, we wanted to continue the tradition but focus on human writing over AI-assisted and AI-generated content.

The goal is to write an original novel of at least 50,000 words between November 1 and November 30.

You can write in any genre, and you're free to explore whatever ideas interest you.

Participation is completely free. We encourage you to share your experience with others on social media using the hashtag #HumanWriMo.
